Well, I hit the ground running. I got released to work last week at my appointment. (Found out pathology reports. Mr cyst was a mass but mr mass was benign so that’s good. Everything else just gave validation to the decision. It’s always good when that happens.)
Anyway, did two 12 hour shifts last week. It was a little rough, but I think mostly from inactivity. Thankfully I work on a floor where people are very willing to help you and people definitely helped me with my heavy lifting. Hopefully every day will be better and I’ll be able to look back and say, “I’m glad I made that choice.” I’m not quite there yet but I have faith that I will be.
So basically this post is just a catch up post because it got a little busy so I didn’t have a chance to post. This week and next week are going to be a true test so I could use some prayers to make it through. Today and tomorrow we have kindergarten camp at church. Then work for the rest of the week because I have meetings on Thursday. Then Sunday afternoon we leave for a week of camp. Long days. Late nights. Early mornings. I need prayers and coffee. But it’ll be good.
I am reading 100 Days to Brave by Annie F Downs (with about a million people on the internet. Seriously…search the hashtag #100DaysToBraveSummer…y’all are missing out!). One of the days was talking about how Satan tells us lies of who we are by telling us we aren’t good enough or whatever the lie is. By grace we are enough and it’s hard to be brave if we are believing the lies. Good stuff.
If you are looking for a short devotional, these are literally 2 pages and you can totally do it. They are a power packed 2 pages sometimes though.
Also, if you’re looking for a way to get more scripture in your life check out the “She Reads Truth” app! For a small subscription you can have access to everything on it which includes some great studies!! I’m looking at 1 & 2 Corinthians, Esther, and some Psalms. I already told y’all I have focusing issues.
Anyway…I hope you all have a blessed week and like I said if you think about it say a little prayer for me that I can keep up the pace for a couple weeks. And say a prayer over the kids that God will speak to them at camp and for the adults that pour into these kids.
